The STEFAN is an open-format DJ, radio host and curator moving through alternative, rock, hip hop, house, jungle and drum & bass.

His journey began in Iași, where he became part of the city’s alternative underground, helping shape a scene built on experimentation, community and cross-genre exploration. Through his residency at Underground, he contributed to creating a space where music was not just played, but discovered and shared.

In Bucharest, he became a constant presence in some of the city’s defining venues, including Expirat, OtherSide and Kulturhaus, playing a key role in bridging alternative culture with club energy. His sets move fluidly between styles, guided not by genre constraints, but by mood, rhythm and narrative.

Alongside his work behind the decks, The STEFAN has been active in radio for 15 years, hosting shows on Nord Est FM, Radio Guerrilla, One FM and Magic FM. This experience shaped his approach to music as a continuous flow rather than a sequence of tracks, refining his sense of pacing, storytelling and connection with an audience beyond the dancefloor.

Beyond clubs and radio, he maintains a strong connection to cultural spaces, curating and performing at events where music intersects with film and art. From after-parties at In the Palace International Short Film Festival (BG) to appearances at Krakra Jazz Festival (BG), his work reflects a broader interest in context, atmosphere and shared experience.
